Baseball – at Superior, 4:30 p.m. Game Notes: The Hawks (5-3) defeated host Duluth East 4-1 on Thursday and were scheduled to play Hibbing on Friday. Hermantown has won two straight. The Spartans are 5-12 and have lost four of their last five. The Hawks are led by junior pitcher-catcher River Freeman, senior pitcher-infielder Brayden Lundeen and senior outfielder Carter Pietrusa.
Softball – at Grand Rapids, 4:30 p.m. Game Notes: The Hawks are 4-5 overall (including a resounding 18-0 victory at Duluth Marshall last Thursday) and the Thunderhawks 5-8. Hermantown defeated Grand Rapids 18-0 on April 25 at historic Rose Road Field.
