Boys Soccer – host Hibbing, 6:30 p.m. Match Notes: Owen Landrigan and Hunter Nelson are elite offensive players for Hermantown, and sophomore netminder Ethan Aysta is a rising star. The Bluejackets are 0-0-1, following a 2-2 season-opening tie against North Branch at Vic Power Field. The Hawks (3-1-0) begin a three-game week, including a pair of games at Corey Veech Field and starting a four-game road trip.
Volleyball – at Duluth East, 7 p.m. Match Notes: The Hawks are 2-0, with season-opening wins over Duluth Marshall, 3-0, and Esko, 3-1.

Girls Soccer – host Hibbing, 6:30 p.m. Match Notes: The Hawks are 1-2-1 following an impressive 2-0 win at Proctor last Thursday, when Kaija Marcovich and Claire Niksich had goals and Lucy Critchley recorded a three-save shutout.
Boys Soccer – at Cloquet, 7 p.m. Match Notes: The Lumberjacks are 0-3-0.

Friday
Football – host Cloquet, 7 p.m. Game Notes: Hermantown is 1-0 and Cloquet 0-1. The Hawks blitzed Proctor 72-0 in the annual Hammer Game last Friday at beautiful Corey Veech Field. Cloquet lost its season and home opener against Two Harbors, 37-14. Senior quarterback Alex Schott threw for three touchdowns against the Rails, completing five of six passing attempts for 79 yards. Landon Burg had a pair of receiving touchdowns, and Grant Johnson had a 29-yard touchdown grab. Bode Madill was 6-for-6 on PATs, and Kale Smith had a team-high five solo tackles and an interception. The Hawks led 43-0 at the half and the entire second half was played in running time. Hermantown held Proctor to -12 rushing yards.
Saturday
Boys Soccer – host Superior, 10 a.m. Match Notes: The Spartans are 1-0-1. Spencer Kidd is a major offensive threat.
Girls Soccer – vs. Cloquet (LSC Day) in Proctor, 4 p.m.
